ICE Conversation: Design Thinking
Friday, March 28 at 4 PM
ICE Office, Lamar Dodd School of Art, Room S150
How can design thinking drive empathetic and innovative collaboration? Join Gregory Wilson, University Innovation Fellow and founder of the What I.F.? Club to talk about learning across disciplines and beyond the classroom.
Developing a design thinking mindset assists students from science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) related fields in tackling the complex problems in today’s society. By developing empathy for potential users of their products and successfully collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds, students can assist in driving innovation. Out of the classroom experiences can be used to further increase skill development and interest in STEAM. Wilson will discuss several examples of informal learning experiences that can be used to engage students.
Idea Lab is a UGA student organization committed to providing an open, interdisciplinary platform for engagement in arts.
