Projects and trends that span the disciplines of art, ecology, horticulture, and design.
Kevin Kirsche is the Director of UGA’s Office of Sustainability and a registered Landscape Architect and LEED Accredited Professional. He has degrees in Landscape Architecture and a Certificate in Conservation Ecology and Sustainable Development from UGA.
Chris McDowell is a Masters candidate in Horticulture, graduate assistant for the Center for Community Design and Preservation, and a staff member of the UGarden. While at UGA he has initiated a university-wide construction materials recycling program. McDowell has a degree in urban planning from the University of Cincinnati.
Stuart Jones is a Masters candidate in Landscape Architecture in the UGA College of Environment and Design. He studies how emergence, adaptive management, and bottom up development can cohabit with functional urban ecologies.
