ICE Seminar: Gaming

This seminar covers 3D animation and sound design in game development. Mike Hussey will discuss 3D animation and design. David Mitchell will present information about the 2009 SIEGE conference he attended and the intricacies of video game sound design.

Mike Hussey
CG Animator and Mechanical Engineer. Professor Hussey founded the 3D computer animation program in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies. He has produced myriad animations including, most recently, a series of historical recreations of ships and other artifacts for the documentaries The Japanese Navy and Boneyards, which aired internationally on the History Channel.

David Mitchell
Composer and classical guitarist. David Mitchell is an ICE Graduate Research Assistant and studies composition with Dr. Leonard Ball and Dr. Roger Vogel at Hugh Hodgson School of Music. He is a past winner of Georgia Music Teachers Association and National Music Educators Association competitions and the 2007 and 2009 Southeastern Composers League Phillip Slate Composition Competition. His string quartet won the 2010 Olin Parker composition competition at UGA.
