UGA Creative Teaching Award – UGA Arts Collaborative

Moon Jung Jang and David T Gay win UGA Creative Teaching Award

Congratulations to Moon Jung Jang (Art) and David T Gay (Math), recipients of a UGA Creative Teaching Award for their innovative work in design and mathematics! For more about the awards visit: https://ovpi.uga.edu/for-faculty/creative-teaching-awards/

Jang and Gay began their collaboration with the support of Ideas for Creative Exploration, producing a workshop called “Unsolved: Math+Design” and a Math Outreach Design Lab and exhibition. Jang shared that the workshop and course are “two of the happiest and the most rewarding moments in my teaching career.” Gay reflected on “the essential role played by Ideas for Creative Exploration” in “bringing people together to find unexpected and amazing connections.”
