Welcome to a new semester at UGA! If you are new to ICE, please take a few moments to explore the site and learn about some of the current and past projects and events. You may also be interested in joining the ICE listserv, a weekly email announcement with local events and opportunities in the arts.
Fall 2008 finds the ICE Studio in a new location, on the first floor of the just-completed Lamar Dodd School of Art in the Performing and Visual Arts Center, adjacent to the Hugh Hodgson School of Music and the Georgia Museum of Art. The ICE Web site has a new format and a new Annoucements blog features events and opportunity listings formerly available only on the listserv. With several projects already in progress, we look forward to announcing a new call for proposals for ICE Grants later this semester.
Please also welcome the first recipients of Graduate Assistantships in Interdisciplinary Arts Research: Ji Eun Moon (Music), Hunter Parker (Theatre and Film Studies), and Marie Porterfield (Art). These three exceptional candidates will develop creative research under the auspices of ICE, including collaborative work across disciplines and facilitating collaborative projects and proposals with faculty, students, and community members.
